Hi - It is the NZ death cert photocopies which have where born, how long in NZ, name and surname of both parents, and father's occupation, but the info is only as reliable as the person who supplied the details (because obviously not the person himself). But it is certainly worth getting in the hope that the informant was someone who knew him well. Another cert worth getting would be for one or more of his children's births, because these also have birth places for both parents on the photocopies. Certified transcripts often omit these (and cost more).
