I did find a Robert WADE in Euclid OH , but he was living with all the wrong people. I am having trouble connecting my vit rec-established GGfather, Benjamin Franklin WADE SR with that Robert as his father.

Benjamin Franklin WADE SR was born in Ohio (family say it was Seneca CO, but I can't establish that either) on March 12, 1842. The Centenial History of OR book vol 3, pg 93-94 says his Father was Robert WADE from Scotland whose parents brought son Robert WADE to USA when a child., BUT none of it has checked out. Did I come upon an unsolvable puzzle right off (my first attempt at genealogy? How discouraging! )

Orig family bible inserts In my poss say that Robert WADE and wife, Hannah Miller had these children in Ohio
w no birth dates except my GGfather's:
Issac, John, Robert, Ezekiel Gavat, George Washington, Manerva, Benjamin Franklin and twin (Hannah who died when age 6) both born 3/12/1842, Abraham, and Emeranca or Emeransa

The before mentioned book also states that the correct Robert would be in Ohio after marrying Hannah Miller of Kentucky, for 20 yrs, subsequently spending 10 yrs in Indiana, and then settled on the West fork of the Des Moines River in Iowa, moved to Clark Co IA where he died in 1880. His wife Hannah, survived him by 5 yrs. If I could locate any of these with the right Robert, the major puzzle link would be in place to trace back further.
Where did I get Robert from the isle of Man? Ben F# 1 claimed this in 18__? census and said his father was from the isle of Man. I'm looking to see which Yamhill OR census that was in. Still feeling lost on this : ( Barb WADE Goode
