Spent time working this family but no hint of his mother. I do not think he is the s/o of Wm birth date doesn't fit with the known daughters.
I still think Jane too young to be his mom. Maybe he is the illeg s/o of Ann or Margaret. Jane do you have John James death record? Is his father
named.
It would be interesting to know if the father is the same in marr and death records.
