Yes, remember that Carol found his WW1 draft registration saying that George Watson was born on 10 Mar 1883? (Which matched the bapt for George Quayle in Douglas with mother Margaret Quayle.)
Then I found George WATSON in the Social Security Death Index, with Birth Date: 10 Mar 1883. Death Date: May 1968.
SS number issued in Michigan.
[So presumably he could have moved away from Michigan.]
Do you have his actual death cert from 1938?
Could it be a mistranscription or worn piece of paper with the "6" becoming a "3"? Does it have anything on it other than father James Watson?
Would you please have another look at this cert?
