I notice in IGI that the husband of Catherine Clucas was called Hendry.

A Hendry Lace was born in Liverpool 1848 and a marriage of a Hendry Lace and Alice Pemberton took place there in 1845.

An Alice Lace died in Liverpool 1850 and the 1851 census has a Hendry Lace widower, carpenter, age 34, from the Isle of Man,

The only one around in C1817 is the son of John Lace and Ann Castle in Ramsey.

No sign of Hendry, the son, in 1851 Liverpool but one turns up in Andreas lodging with James and Jane Radcliffe. Also lodging with them is an Emma Clucas and both children are from England.

I haven't the records to develop the theory, if it's worth pursuing maybe someone can help.
