I don't know about Patrick and havn't really done German in great detail except for Peel but I'm not sure re well established Clucas family in this area though an Ensign Clucas took over Northern Manks Volunteers c.1805 (indicates some social standing) and I find one clucas family in Abbey land cottages from mid 18th, name clucas also associated with pubs from late 18th c (suspect social standing of publicans was not that high) but I have Clucas's marrying into Graves and Wattleworths of Peel (late 18th C) - I also have a Richard Clucas associated with Ann Cosnahan owning Abbey Cottage property - this may be the connection as I always associate Clucases with Santon and of course one branch of Cosnahans was big in that parish.
Re grandparents's will - they died before her marriage so unlikely to be confirmation there unless probabte dragged on.
