Brian,
I guess that I 'lost' some of my thoughts in my response to your Nov.1st mesage so i'll try again!
Re. W.H.F.
The 1881 census is OK. Earlier this year, I had an exchange with Frances regards to Riversdale House, and she was kind enough to locate the property for me.
He does not appear on the IoM1891 census, so far as I have be able to find out, so my thought was that he may have been at KWC at the time, by virtue of the A.C.Teare letter, but as we have seen, he was not on the Register. As an alternate possibility, he may have been in Manchester in 1891, why, I dont know, although he was married 14.Nov. 1892 in Chorlton. His occupation has been noted as 'Draper' and his wife, Mary Elizabeth Ann Burch. in 1881, as 'Drapers Assistant'. Food for thought!. Regards, Peter.
