Malea, you didn't give their ages - are you certain that his widow was aged 56 in 1841, so b.c.1785?

There is another burial in Maughold, for a Thomas Cannell:
Thomas CANNELL aged 46, Ramsey, buried May 19 1837.
Too young? He would have been about 22 at the marriage date you gave.
