there is a will for a William Corkill in kk German 1712 - d 20 aug 1712;wife jony;bro john corkill;unnamed ch - ua mother sworn; inv £3 5s; I never found any matching bapts tho there is an unmaned Corkill Child from Gneeb mentioned in the period in Kk German bapt reg - very likely one of these children would be a William but no record I can find in bapt register (and I've looked at the original very worn with significant unreadable sections) - don't forget that there are no extant Kk Patrick records pre 1714 with Peel providing a jointly used church for both Kk German + Patrick - Cronkdoo (Knockdoo) is on the north side of the central valley near Greeba - it's in Kneeb treen [Greeba] vitually on border with Marown parish - much nearer St Johns than Peel where there was a chapel of ease next to the Tynwald field - baptisms would have been performed here tho they should have then been recorded in Kk German reg
