I assume the censuses you found had Douglas, Isle of Man? You probably know that there is a town Castle Douglas in Scotland, sometimes called Douglas.

Who did Elizabeth Wood marry in 1868, and how do you know the year and place if you can't find her marriage? Please could you give all details from that source, which might help find her earlier?
