Yes, it would be good to find some definite evidence that Jessie's mother Jane was also that of the Gregg/Chapman children. The link between the Gregg/Chapman/Rane/Smith children looks very convincing. The fact that this Jane's birthplace in 1891 is shown as Malew is also persuasive of a link. Finding Jessie in 1891 would be a help.
