There are two army records for Peter on FMP I have both of them if Ruth would like copies. The army records also give information about Peter's family. There are a number of family trees on Ancestry that include him. Using the army records and the trees it appears that Peter Bentall was born on 17 November 1860 at Felsted, Essex to Daniel Bentall (sometimes transcribed as David) and Eliza Mead.
