There were messages about the descendants of Esther Sayle & Lace Radcliffe (from the "Parish Clerks" family), who went to the USA, on this Manx board in 2001, but I can't find them in the archives which now seem to begin in 2006. However, with the subject details below, you will find them on Google.

Edward E. and Ellen E. Clague Radcliffe were my great-grandparents. Edward was born in Andreas Parish in 1834, the fifth son of Lace and Esther Sayle Radcliffe. Of the seven sons, only the oldest, William, and the youngest, Benjamin, stayed on the Isle of Man. The only daughter, Catherine, also married and stayed on the Isle. Of the other five sons, one went to Australia and four came to America. Edward and his younger brother, Joseph, came to Cleveland. My mother never knew her grandfather because he died in 1901 the year after she was born, but she remembered her Great-Uncle Joe who had lost his leg (although she never knew how) and ran a tobacco shop on Miles Avenue in Cleveland. Edward was a tailor and sometime after his marriage the family lived in Canfield, Ohio, where my grandfather, Charles Wesley Radcliffe, was born..." (cont.)

"Joseph Radcliffe b Nov 1836 s/o Lace Radcliffe and Esther Sayle living in 1900 in Ohio with brother Edward's widow and children. Joseph never married and died in 1910 in Ohio age 73 years."
