Hi Ewan , I checked the IGI for the births of Thomas and Alice children on the 1901 census and found all of them - they are not on Brian Lawson's births , which is unusual. Alice's maiden name was Gell/Gill , and on the birth of Eleanor Mary Garrett in 1897 , her mother is given as Alice Isabella Gill , which cancels out all of the burials except the one in 1917. Alice Gell's birth (Christening) seems to be June 6 , 1856 to Thomas Joseph Gell and Eliza Hutchins
