Thanks for your help, I am trying to work back from the death/burial.

On the 1901 census there are 4 Alice Garretts and on the 1911 census there are also 4 Alice Garretts.

There are 2 aged 29 born 1872 and it looks like those 2 on the 1911 census also.

Deaths for these 2 may be Alice Elizabeth Garrett in 1947 aged 76 and Alice Letitia Garrett in 1950 aged 78.

There is an Alice Jane Garrett aged 39 born 1872 on the 1911 census and her death may be 1959 aged 87.

Alice Garrett born 1857 aged 44 on the 1901 census that David kindly posted is aged 55 on the 1911 census, nice and consistent.

So that leaves an Alice Garrett who died in 1917 aged 53 and was buried at German Cemetery as MaryM posted and lived at 31 Castle Street Peel.

If anyone can find this particular individual I would be most grateful, I think a burial record may help identify her.

Also frances thank you for your idea a newspaper search to find detail perhaps of the funeral.
