The John Corkill I'm looking for was in 1851 Census, Peel, aged 9, with parents John and Jane and sisters Henrietta, 11 and Jane 4
In 1861 he's with Jane, a widow. and his married sister Henrietta Gorry, with husband William.
All born Peel.
What intrigues me is 1861 Ballaugh, Jane, aged 18 with grandfather Daniel Boyde aged 90. This is the only Jane Corkill, aged 18 in IOM 61 census. Yet her mother Jane, who was a widow when she married JohnCorkill, was born Douglas. I can't find her first marriage to ???
Thomas Crellin is on my mother's side, not in this thread at all.
