Adrienne & Phillip
I was reading in Goodwin's Genealogical Scraps this evening. John Caine of Glenwilliam md Elizabeth Caine heiress of Ballaskyr. In 1837 they were described as "he a fine old tall man and she little and lame". John Caine joined the Methodists about 11 years after the first Society was founded on the Island. For over 50 yrs he was one of the most steady uniform and constant members of the Wesleyan Society. His memory is ____ to the poor who found in him a wise Counsellor and sympathizing friend. On the Monday preceeding his death he received a slight wound from a stone rolling against his leg. This resulted in mortification and on Saturday (couldn't read--maybe it said he died).
