Sorry, I was being over-confident when I said I'd be able to confirm that you had the correct descent if you gave me the names. I should have added if they stayed in Maughold, because I don't have marriages from elsewhere, except indexes.
In that last message (under John Corkill 10/10/2011) I put a URL for a previous thread for you to check, and also suggested that you do a "Search" for Ballajora + "margaret cannell". Were you able to access these earlier threads? Another "Search" you could try is: "sue corkill dick" which brings up 19 other threads about the same families.

Could you please fill in these details for me, starting with Thomas Edward Corkill b.1876, and go back one generation at a time giving the details?
Re. your last question about John Corkill & Margaret Cannell the parents of Edward and James, and whether they had siblings, I had written all their (known to me) children in my reply:
John 'Juan Dick' 1747-1823 married Margaret CANNELL of Ballaskeally Onchan in 1772, and were the parents of John 1773-1859, Patrick 1774-1843 marr Cath Creech, Thomas 1777-1869 marr Margt Fargher, Edward 1780-, Andrew 1785-1786, Mary 1787-, William 1790-, James 1793-1870 marr Margt Callow, & Esther 1799- marr John Kerruish.
John 1747-1823 (Juan Dick) who marr Margt Cannell was the son of John (Dick) 1715-1796 who was the son of Ewan 1688-1754 & Isabel, according to CR.
So I had nothing further for Edward b.1780 from these records which came from Constance Radcliffe.
Looking at Maughold marriages there are these Edward Cork(h)ill ones:
Mr Edward Corkhill widower & Miss Margaret Christian married Maughold 7 Jun 1815.
Edward Corkill & Jane Sayle married 23 Nov 1816
(Margaret daur of Edward Corkill & Jane Sayle bapt Maughold Parish Church 25 Apr 1819).
Edward Corkill & Mary Kermeen married Maughold 26 Jan 1839.
Are you certain your XXXG/father Edward Corkill B 1780? married Ann Clarke?
The 1841 census of Onchan has an Edward & Jane Corkill both aged 60 (ages rounded) which could be the Jane Sayle marriage above.
Unfortunately this census didn't give relationships or parish of birth. However the same couple seem to be in the 1851 census aged 73 & 72 and born Onchan and Michael, so not the right Edward.
The 1881 census on Familysearch.org has an entry with a Thomas E Corkill b.1876:

30 May 1858

Catherine HUNTER Full age Spinster Ramsey [father] John Hunter, Farrier.
