Again, I can only say a huge thank you or all your help. I now have all the tools and infomration I need to trace these people. I have printouts of everything you have sent so I can easily access it whereever I am. I will start with the iMuseum at the Manx museum!

I will eventually get the hang of it and learn how to connect up the dots as you have so kindly explained. This is a whole new experience for me and it is unfolding really well. My last query was only asked to see if there was a connection to the "other" Goldsmiths in the are at that time Bride, Jurby etc are small areas close together not heavily populated, Goldsmith not being a Manx name, it was not unreasonable to see if these two families were related.
