Re: More Craine MIs please
In Response To: Re: More Craine MIs please ()

Hi Marna,

Thanks for the additional information on the Craines of Kilkenny. I'm not sure if that article is about the Thomas Craine who was baptised 3 Mar 1815 because it states he died in "May last" which would be May 1842. If that is correct he would have been 27 when he died and the article says he died "in the 25th year of his age". Do you agree? Other than that the rest of the information in that article seems to fit. So, I am not sure if I should use it.

Here is some information I have on William Craine, son of Robert Craine and Elinor Gick:

I have that William's first wife, Jane Teare, died 29 Dec 1821. William married second wife, Elizabeth (b. about 1791), on 23 Apr 1822 in Braddan. She died 19 Nov 1846.

Children of William Craine and Jane Teare:

John baptized 13 May 1811
Jane baptized 18 Mar 1813

Robert Craine married Eleanor Frances Woods (born 28 Jul 1809 in Jurby, died 18 Nov 1888 in Brookfield, New York) on 22 Oct 1833 in Kirk German. Robert was a farmer. Robert and Eleanor sailed with their seven children from Liverpool on the sailing vessel Yorkshire to New York arriving 1 Sep 1850. Robert died 6 Apr 1866 in Brookfield, New York.

If you want any other information on this line email me at agoldsborough at yahoo dot com. I would love to know more about the descendants of Edward Craine.

Thanks.
