I, too am descended from Robert Craine and Elinor Gick, married 7 Nov 1775 (Santan)
I have their children as Esther bap 16 Feb 1777 (who married Arthur Bridson); William bap 7 Nov 1779; Robert bap 1 April 1782; Edward bap 18 Dec 1785 and also Elisabeth. She is mentioned in Robert's will but we have been unable to find a birth for her.
Edward Craine is my 4x great grandfather. He married Isabella Moore 1 Nov 1812 at Onchan. He became the vicar of Onchan from 1810 to 1847. Robert was also a vicar.
I have your William married to Jane Teare with a son Thomas, baptised 3 March 1815. I believe the following extract from the Manx Sun 13th August 1842 is about this Thomas -
Died - In may last, at Bonny, in Africa, in the 25th year of his age, Mr Thomas Craine, surgeon, son of Mr Craine, Kilkenny, Braddan, and nephew of the Rev Edward Craine, Vicar of Onchan, deeply regretted by a numerous circle of friends.
I have a lot of information on my line which might interest you and I would love to know more of Edward and Robert's brother William.
