Would someone with worldwide or US access to Ancestry be able to find them in US censuses? Would that be a needle/haystack affair or would IOM birthplace of parents help? Just thought it might pin down a location so that a birth registration could be found. Without trawling back through the thread I don't know if the ages of siblings suggest whether the family could have been in New York in a census year.
