but, the Bernard Cain born Runicorn, could be him,

I checked on Ancestry today on the shipping lists and Bernard came up on the ship "Medic" of Liverpool, Bernard Cain Abel Seaman age 35 British on 21. 9. 1899

on all his other entries on the ship "Suivic" he was, Bernard Cain, where born, Runcorn, in 1864

I think we need his Birth Certificate to find out his Mothers name,
