Have you had any luck with findmypast? I've never been able to fathom how it works, or how to know whether or not you have the right couple. For example, marriages in 1900 have:
First name on page Last name on page Year Quarter
COX, Florence Ford CRAWTE, Alice Hurley 1900 Jan-Feb-Mar VIEW
COWDRY, Alice COX, William 1900 Apr-May-Jun VIEW
COX, William Alexander CRAVEN, Mary Ann 1900 Apr-May-Jun VIEW
COWLEY, Martha CRACKNELL, William 1900 Jul-Aug-Sep VIEW
COX, Jane CRANFIELD, Louisa 1900 Oct-Nov-Dec VIEW

So if they are just showing the first and last names on the page (sometimes two women), how does anyone know who links with whom before they pay to "View"?

In the same search for 1900 marriages on FreeBMD for William Cox with Spouse first name: Alice, there are 8 entries for 1900 with no Alice Cowdry in the June quarter! Perhaps they haven't got all 1900 added yet, but why aren't all these other entries on findmypast if this is complete?
