The father is stated as being John Cox, the William Henry Cox that is my great granddad his father was a Thomas. One of the problems I have is that some people are not known as the names that are put on these documents for example William Henry Cox could have known his dad as Thomas' but perhaps his real name was entered as a 'John'. The age of birth/baptism - 1837 was near as I was looking for something between 1837 and 1843. I say 'was' because I have exhausted all routes to look for him that way, unless I can prove that the father had a different name to what is on the marriage certificate, which of course I can't.
