i agree , it is very difficult to be able to come to the island, there is airfare ,accomodations , meals to buy.
i live in canada now and it is only getting more expensive to fly then i have to switch planes in manchester to get to the island, when i arrive i do not want to sit and look at a computor or look at or films i would prefer to visit and travel around the islandwhere my mother and her family were from even if its raining.
has anyone ever tried to book a flight from toronto to manchester and then tell the travel agent you need to book also a flight from manchester to the isle of man, the travel agent usually look at you and say 'WHERES THAT" then when you tell them they usually say"oh you will have to do that yourself"
anyway i will continue with ancestry and the mormon films and sites and hopefully tynwald will do the right thing and allow it to be researched online and then we can all come and travel your beautiful island, which by the way last time i was there we had lovely weather in september and i loved every inch of the island, but it is a very expensive trip for a lot of people and i am one of them
