the 1738 death is for adam cain active in ballaugh not the adam cain prodducing children in Michael/ballaugh - though your putative family's peregrinations between parishes is possible it is IMO extremely unlikely - most until the early 19th century were born, married (possibly to a partner from an adjacent parish) and were buried in the same parish - most exceptions were those who drifted to the large towns - in 18th Century Douglas, Ramsey and to a lesser amount Castletown.
