N B This is partly speculation because some of it is based on patron submissions on Familysearch.
I'm starting a new thread---this one follows on from "All GICK Researchers", "Re Miss Curphey MANXONIA" and "Mystery missing DOROTHY CLUCAS".
There were very few Agnes Kellys born in IOM in the early to mid 1800s, so I'm fairly sure I've got the correct one in each census.
Below is a list of census entries for Agnes Kelly (bap 30 Jan 1820 Marown ), daughter of William Kelly and Jane Gick who married 8 Sept 1810 Malew. Jane Gick was one of the daughters of William Gick of Cordeman (3 Jul 1760-5 Jun 1837) and Jane Moore (23 Jun 1758-29 Aug 1831).
Agnes Kelly's mother Jane died 15 March 1825 (buried where?)---
" Jane Kelly alias Gick wife of William Kelly, late of Ballalonney in this parish, who departed this life the 15 March 1825, aged 33 years. Also Elizabeth, daughter of the above, who died July 24, 1843, aged 22 years."
----and I suspect that her father William had died before the 1841 census, because in 1841 James Kelly (bap 22 March 1818 Marown ), brother of Agnes, is farming at Ballaglonney Marown with his wife Jane (nee Quinney ?) and daughter Ann age 1. James is still at Ballaglonney in 51, 61 and 71.
Agnes appears as a "visitor" in most censuses through to 1901. I think that these are her burial and will:
KELLY, Agnes 82 Mar 11 Sep 1902
KELLY, Agnes 1902 Dgs 207 0106541
My theory is that she spent her adult life in various households of her first cousins ( ie grandchildren of William Gick and Jane Moore of Cordeman.) apart from 1871 and 1881 when she was living with her sister, Jane Kelly born about 1817.

James Hales, Draper, was a widower. His late wife was Christian Quine (bap 22 Jun 1814, buried 3 Aug 1838 Santon, maried 27 Mar 1838 ) The children in the household were from James Hale's first marriage to Elizabeth Sharp 16 May 1822 Braddan.
Christian Quine was a first cousin of Agnes Kelly. Her parents were John Quine and Esther Gick ( married 17 Dec 1809 Malew) ( both John 1838 and Esther's 1845 wills are already transcribed on Brian's list.) Esther Gick was a daughter of William Gick and Jane Moore of Cordeman, bap 25 Oct 1793 Douglas St George.

This Agnes Kelly's recorded age is 19. However I think that it's possible that the census taker couldn't read his own writing when he made the official copy, mistaking 29 for 19.
There are 2 of Agnes Kelly's first cousins in this household.
Christian Curphey nee Davidson (10 Oct 1822-12 Feb 1900 ) was a daughter of Hugh Davidson and Isabella Gick (bap 9 Nov 1800, another daughter of William Gick and Jane Moore of Cordeman)
The other cousin, Esther Quine ( bap 10 Jan 1830 Santon ) , was a daughter of John Quine and Esther Gick ( see above )

One of Agnes Kelly's first cousins was head of household, John Clucas, (bap 11 Feb 1821 ) was the son of John Clucas and Dorothy Gick (10 Jul 1789- 13 Oct 1849 ). Dorothy was yet another daughter of William Gick and Jane Moore of Cordeman.
Another first cousin (once removed ) in the household was Christian Curphey, visitor, age 17, Malew. She was the daughter of John Curphey and Christiana Davidson ( see above in 1851 census, although 7 year old Christian was absent from home on 51 census night---she was away at Mary Ann Lloyd's little boarding school in St Mary's Square, Castletown.)

Margaret Curphey was a first cousin once removed of Agnes Kelly. Margaret's mother was Christiana Curphey nee Davidson ( see 1851 above ). Margaret was a milliner who owned Manxonia ladies fashions in Douglas for many years.
Having written all that, I'm not sure just what it demonstrates and whether it's any help to Ray.
