Re: Burials in Maughold - Charles Howland

Hi Mary Ann,

I don't understand your question about whether their marriage record on 28 May 1844, Bride, could be found? I've already given you the LDS film number for it. Baptisms, marriages, burials 1693-1849 LDS film no.106713.
I haven't looked at Bride but most parishes started (sometimes) giving ages only in the late 1840s, except for "underage" (under 21).
However you need to look at this film for other details, such as from a different parish, status, the witnesses, etc., if you think they are the right couple, judging by the dates of whomever of their children was your ancestor.

In your first message you wrote that they had four children:
William b Arbory 1844
Elizabeth b. Ramsey 1846
Jane b. Ramsey 1850
Thomas b. Ramsey 1853

When you go to the FHC you should also order the films for the children's bapts, because you need to look at all sources to be sure you have all available information, and the right family. And especially examine the Ramsey one because that was where they were living, and where you need to double-check for Charles H's burial (which looks like the Maughold one, but you need to be sure).

Ramsey Parish register transcripts, 1761-1849, LDS film no.106741 (for Elizabeth).
Christenings, marriages and burials, 1849-1883 LDS film no.106182, Item 2 on the film, for the other bapts., and for burials - look through it for all members of the family, because Ramsey burials are not consistently indexed anywhere.
The two 1850s bapts should have far more information than the earlier ones, but I would look at them all.

The FHC will usually allow you to order several films at a time.

The film for Arbory for William's bapt., and for Ann's family, is: Baptisms 1652-1883 Marriages, burials 1729-1849 LDS film no.106706.
Ann Kenvig bapt 19 Dec. 1813 Arbory. You will find her parents' marriage 8 Feb.1807 and siblings etc. on the same film.
