Re: Burials in Maughold - Charles Howland

Mary Ann, from what you have written, the family was living in Ramsey. Ramsey burials are not on Brian's website, and to check burials between 1853 and 1861 you need to check the Ramsey parish registers on LDS film at any LDS Family History Centre. It also would be a good idea to look at the bapts on the film of the original records to pick up extra details omitted from the IGI.

Some Ramsey residents (but far from all) were buried in Maughold Churchyard. There was a Charles HOWLAND ag. 39 [residence] Ramsey buried Maughold 13 Feb 1857. You could ask whether there is a Maughold M.I. for him, which might show whether or not this was the right Charles H.
Ann HOWLAND 73 yrs. , Ramsey, buried Maughold 14 Jul 1887.
Elizabeth HOWLAND 36 yrs, Ramsey, buried Maughold Aug 22 1882.
Jane HOWLAND 64 yrs., Ramsey, buried Maughold 27 Sep 1912.

There were several Howland families in Ramsey in the 1800s.

By the way, if you are looking for help you need to give details of the censuses you have looked up, not just the refs to them, because not everyone has access to Ancestry or the time to look them up.
