Sandra, I was not being flippant - I was quite serious with my suggestion of helping. What was flippant was Alan's comment "Wow! I've just had a vision of the Society outsourcing electronic distribution of its publications to a third-world country where the costs amount to pea-nuts, and profits rise from thousands to millions!" and to which I reacted. He had already been answered by Frances, but dismissed her responses.

I agree with the rest of what you wrote, and understand that people are working towards achieving this.
