Hi Mary. That's strange - I posted a reply earlier and it doesn't appear to be here? Anyway, in answer to your questions...I tried to find Brian Lawson's site and the smattering of possible ancestors, but all I can find are entries he's made in the Notebook and message threads....what is the site actually called?
As to dates - my Grandfather James Heaney died on October 6th 1943, and was buried in Benghazi, Libya where he was a gunner in the 61st Royal Artillery Regiment. As he was 41 or 42 (depending where you read about it) he must have been born around 1901/2. So, I can really only guess that his Mum Jessie Starkey was somewhere between the ages of 16 - 40+ when he was born!! Not very precise to say the least!
