Of your two possible birth entries for Catherine in Jurby, I prefer your no.1:
"1. Catherine Teare Feb 26 1843 Mother Margery. No Father given, possibly Joughin?
2. Catherine Elizabeth Killy or Gill. Feb 27 1842 Mother Mary Garrett Father James Killey or Gill
Feb 27 1842. Note the mother's name."

No.2 will have come from the 1851 census in Jurby, but I can't see how the Cath Jughin niece here relates to Margery Teare/Garret/Cowle, or how she became Joughin if she started out with the two parents named?
I couldn't find Margery in the 1841 census, to cut down on the John Garrett burials.

Liz should check the marriage for any additional information (e.g. widow): "Patrick Cowle married Margery Garrat in Jurby on Dec 27 1845".
