Re: GELLING of Lonan
In Response To: Re: GELLING of Lonan ()

Good possibility. Thanks Frances.

The 1799 Lonan Episc will for Thomas CLAGUE mentions son William CLAGUE, Dau Anne wife of Thomas KNEALE, Dau Margret wife of Philip CALLISTER, Dau-in-law Margaret CLAGUE als SCARFF, wife Jane CLAGUE house in Douglas, etc.
The dau-in-law Margaret CLAGUE als SCARFF would just have become John GELLING's wife but perhaps the will was written before.

I have 3 wives for Thomas CLAGUE, but am not sure about the first one now that I look at it.
1. Anne BODDAUGH m 1742, son William b 1744. William would have had to have died if this is the same Thomas Clague.
2. Anne KILLEY m 1747/8, children Thomas 1751, William 1756-1831, Margaret 1760, Ann 1764, and unknown b 1767. I just checked Brian Lawson's site and wife Anne died in 1769, so that fits with the next marriage in 1770 for Jane
3. Jane . Son Thomas b 1772. Jane died in 1804 aged 73 according to MI (Brian Lawson's site)
