Re: Early Kaighin/Kain/Cain
In Response To: Early Kaighin/Kain/Cain ()

Hi Shirley,

I concur with Frances. I have done extensive research on the Kaighins and have found only one corruption of the name in America, that of "Carn" in Painsville, Ohio. His Christian name, Nicholas might also point you in a different direction as this was not a common name in the Isle of Man during that period. I'm curious to know what land records you came across pertaining to Kaighins.
