The book "Andreas" compiled by Sally McCambridge (from the research papers of DS Dugdale held in the Manx Museum) has a family history chart for the Teares of Ballakinnag on p.101, and a description of Ballakinnag Farm on p.100.

These Teares and the "Teare Lords" (William 1787-1858 & Thomas b.1795) have been discussed before on this board.

According to the book their father was William Teare 1750-1817 "probable great grandson of William Teare" who was living at Ballakinnag in 1643.

No mention of Philip Teare, which is not to say that he wasn't descended from the original William Teare. What records do you have which link him or son John to Ballakinnag?
