I assume Ballagorry mooar is in Corna-mooar - in 1639 Donald Corkill 8s 10d, - acquired it seems (lib vas 1636) - Donald Carran is in cort and acknowledgeth to have sould his prte of the 8s? 10d rente to Donald Corkill upon some conditions expressed in a noate [s..] by deemster Xpian dated the 24 May 1636
in 1640 book - same treen + rents - Corkill is entered by bill of sayle from Danold Carran who sould it formerly to Patr Cloage & Cloage left it again to the said Carran & now Carran hath sould it to the said Corkill & this the setting quest avouch
but in 1642 same treen + rents - Corkill consented in cort to enter the name of the said Joney Cowle for this 8s 10d havinge sould the same to her by sayle
(query is lib vas talking about 2 8s 10d rents or the same one as in 1639 Lib Assed - Donald Corkill 8s 10d, Patr Cloage 8s 10d, Donald Caloe & George Caloe are entered for this qtrland of 19s 8d
This 8s 10d rent would appear to be that numbered 29 in the 1643 composition book - Jo Corkill for wm corkill for ½ qrtr rent 8s 10d for the lyves of the said Wm & of Ellin Caloe a sonne dau of John of Cardale & John Caloe sonne of Robt of Balafale (the 1643 book is difficult to read at best of times but Maughold appears damaged in many places - I assume if I read it correctly that John paid the composition fee - the 1679 book adds somewhat to confusion - John Corkill for Jo Cokill & exr?[wife] - lyves (all dead xd thru + added in diff hand q is said Jo alledged to be alive )
In 1645 the two 8s 10 rents in Cornamore came up - Jony Cowle passes to Wm Kerush entered by bargaine of contract wth the said Jony her daughter
and Danold Corkill passes to Wm entered by bill of sayle (? is lib vas just a couple of years behind here?)
in 1668 Wm Kerush went to son Ewan - no futher change before 1703
