I have photos of all the 1676 epis wills in EW21 - no Wm Corkill there - however there are NO maughold wills in the bundle and all names match those in the new index tho a couple are more readable on the better optics of the new digital reader - I called out the original bundle - much too fragile to handle but there was only the one bundle the back page of which would appear to be the same as on the film - thus if the index entry of Wm Corkill in 1676 is correct then suspect one bundle has been lost sometime after production of the old index - in 1675 + prev years there would appear to be 2 bundles/year and seeing only one would appear to suggest loss of a second.

Depending on the weather I intend to be off Island for the next 3 weeks or so but with present gales + more forecast, boats are cancelled several times a week thus can't investigate further but am surprised at not finding any Lib Vas transfer between two Wm Corkills
