in 1600 the two names were Gilbert Kermott + John Corkill
in 1580 Danold McCormad and Wm McCorkill down for the same 13s 6d in Particles

a search thru earlier lib vas finds just one example Wm Corkill drawn for 12d (in a 20d chief rent intack) + John Cokill + Donald Corkill entered jointly in 1634 with note they are in possession

There is no record of particle between 1623 + 1638 tho lib assed indicates that John replaced by Wm sometime between 1600 and 1630
