Hello Averil.
On CR’s chart for Corkill of Ballajora on the Particle land she has entries for them on the Manorial Roll of 1511 Thomas, 1604 John, and between 1608 and 1703 all Williams one after the other.
James & co were of Ballajora Staff Land, not Particle land. In her book CR wrote that she could find no connection between John of the Staff Land who died in 1656 and William of the Particle who was entered in 1643.
William Corkill 1656-1711, the eldest son of James Corkill & Joney Callow, was therefore of the Staff Land.
So I think CR agrees with you about the Williams in the Particle land, but there were also James & Joney’s eldest son and grandson Williams in the Staff Land who inherited there.
Please see the problem I had with father and son here:

I think these were your ones? So in Staff Land rather than Particle land?
Which means that “Ewan’s younger brother Daniel in 1727 married Elizabeth Corkill of the other Ballajora, daughter of William and Grace” shows that Elizabeth’s father William was likely to be one of the William heirs of the Particle land.
