Hello Viv , Yes if several unrelated persons are buried in a grave then it would be impossible for all of them
to erect a headstone no room. As I mentioned there are some official Ballamona stones I've seen in Braddan
down at bottom -& they have up to 4 family names ONLY which has always rather pleased me - all burials from the
same hospital. // Two drowned soldiers [ from war] found together on same shore were buried together in
Glencrutchery from some troopship which must have come to grief----shared grave but CWGC headstones are
very narrow & they were erected touchingside by side. However if these were pauper burials surely it should
say so in church burial record book.
