Good point thanks Mary - I haven't seen the death certificate but the inquest says he was found in a field at Ballacubbon and had died from exposure to the cold. I know he didn't have a fixed abode and was a farm labourer who moved from farm to farm around The Cooil looking for work.

I am intrigued to know how Billy's grave was sold 25 years after the first occupant had been interred there and 20 years after Billy was interred there. I don't think there was any connection between the Sinclair family and the Kewleys.
I presume Billy would have been put in a pauper's grave.
But I also need to know why some of the grave nos have letters next to them in the Braddan Burial Book.
