Re: Thomas Lennox Seaton
In Response To: Re: Thomas Lennox Seaton ()

Hi Sue, Paddy has informed me that Thomas L. and his father did not get along and at the age of 12 the father took Thomas L to a Naval Training Base and left him there and that was the last Thomas ever saw of his father. I have been unable to find T.L's entry to Australia and have wondered if he was still in the Royal Navy and took his discharge in Australia or jumped ship. Thomas first appeared on the Electoral Roll in 1892 at Charters Towers, Qld under the name of Thomas Lennox Seaton. This is the information from the rim of the medals. (1) Coomassie 8004 T.L.Seaton AB HMS.Rattlesnake 1873/1874. (2)South Africa 1879 T. L.Seaton Leading Seaman HMS Shah. (3)Alexandria 11th July 1882 T.L. Seaton 2nd Class P.O HMS Inflexible. (4) Bronze Star Egypt 1882 - nothing on rim. Thanks for your continued interest.
