Malew property records [Castletown Cottages] has a Charles Bootle in 1600 [Cottage no 88, 12d rent]. By 1639 the rent was shared by Christian Tubman 6d + Marjerie Bootle 6d; in 1643 Christian Tubman had the full 12d [a Marjory Bournman als Bootle d.1666 Malew]. By 1701/4 John Gell [12d] was the tenant, and the property was given as "compounded for in 1643 by Thos Norris" - not clear how this fits with Christian Taubman als Bootle paying rent in 1643.

The IGI "Ancestral File," database, FamilySearch (ht tp://familysearch.org/pal:/MM9.2.1/MWN1-JNB submitted by J Robinson assigns John Tubman b.~1581 / Christian Bootle 1588-1864 as having 5 children - Thos, John, Richard, Elinor + Alice. In another entry [.../MM9.2.1/MWN1-JQ2] John Taubman 1577-1645 / Christian Unknown 1580-? - the children named in your last message all feature + several others; however Salisbury Tubman's given birth of ~1616 would mean she was ~56yrs old when she gave birth to dau Christian Norris [Malew Bpts Aug 1671]

The Tubmans named in Malew property records [in mnb online and in Frances' CD] were - 1600 - Peers, Thomas, Charles; 1639/45 - John, Christopher, Thomas and Humphrey. Humphrey's son was Thomas [a joiner]; Christopher was likely related to another Thomas [a shoemaker] ?grandfather?. I have tentatively assigned this latter Thomas d.1683 as the w/o Elizth Nelson and the brother of Charles, Ann, Salisbury etc.
