there is also dated 3 Dec 1664;recites that Tho Tubman + John Norris came to an agreement re Whitestone - Norris owes £15 to Tubman to be paid before All saints day ensuing at wch time if paid Norris to enter on half of Whitestone; Witt Tho Norris, Charles Tubman x, John Kinley x, Tho Norris; 30 Jan 1666: Thos Tubman + wife Elizabeth ack £15; 19 Nov 1667: Tho Tub + Eliz als N[rest lost in binding!] ack 20s from John Norris(hatter) wch was rcvd from Tho Norris junr

There is also a 1652 mort by Charles to Lewis Stafford which would appear to have been paid off by John Norris in 1655

I'll have a look over next couple of days in Quayles precendents (a hanlist of items in Lib Canc + Lib Scacc that John Quayle CR did in mid 18th C though interesting - a fairly good but v incomplete index to these books dating from 1580
