High Court of Justice
Douglas Tuesday January 17 1892
Before his Honor Deemster Drinkwater
PROBATE DIVISION
THOMAS JAMES BRIDSON AND ELIZA BRIDSON HIS WIFE V THE NEXT-OF-KIN OF WM BRIDSON.
The testator died on the 24th of Dec last, a bachelor, leaving no issue, his father and mother being dead. The personal estate was valued at £5,000. Mr Mark Carine and Mr Edward Cain were the witnesses to the will. The will appointed Eliza Christian Bridson, wife of Thomas Bridson , executrix, and she sought to have her husband appointed in her stead during coverture. The deceased gentleman was a well-known shoe-maker in Church Street, Douglas. - Mr L Kneale was the advocate.
I'm not sure if I am right but if TJB and ECB are v Next of Kin - and she was appointed executrix - I wonder who, and what relationship to Wm, the next of kin would be ?
Think I need a legal eagle !!!
