DOUGLAS PROBATE SESSION
William Bridson. -- Mr Coole said this was a petition for administration de bonis non of the will of the late William Bridson, shoemaker. He produced a copy of the will of which administration with will annexed was granted to Thomas James Bridson, the husband of Eliza Christian Bridson, the petitioner, and who was named executor in the will of William Bridson. Thomas James Bridson had since died , and there was a small portion of William Bridson's estate unadministered. - Alfred Edw Cowley deposed : I am son-in-law of the late Thomas James Bridson, and was appointed administrator of his estate. There is a small portion of Wm Bridson's estate unadministered, about £250. Mrs Bridson wishes me to be appointed administrator. - Administration granted to Mr Cowley, Thomas Cain and David Collister being his bails.

Does the fact that William's estate was £5,000 mean that he came from a family of some standing or just that he worked extremely hard, I wonder !!!
