Hi Donna
I'm really not sure on this one!!!
The only thing I know is that James Alfred Hannay was left the money by Thomas James Bridson. Alfie Hannay's mother was MaryAnn Bridson dau of James Bridson [b Santon] and Elizabeth Kneen [b Andreas]. MaryAnn had only one surviving brother John Joseph who would have only been 17 when MaryAnn's son Alfie Hannay was born so I would doubt that he was the father of Thomas James.
My James Bridson [1816ish] doesn't appear to have been baptised [well possibly at home but I haven't found it in Parish records yet - although I haven't looked for a while !!]
So you may well be right but I don't then know what the connection is between MaryAnn's son and Thomas James Bridson..
Let me know if you have any more info please.
Thanks Viv
