Lib Plit - full name Libri Placitorum (books of common pleas) will have an entry for each case brought before the court - if heard and Nigel is I think implying that any such case would probably have been aborted by consent of parties, the verdict would be in Lib Canc tho if the case was dismissed then this would be recorded in Lib Plit (or at least in the few I've looked up)- there is an listing of the cases in Lib Plit on one of the microfilms - not indexed but in date order - however I would have expected to see an agreement recorded within the deeds between the various parties if a law case was brought. There is a handlist of important cases in Chancery Court (ie Lib Scacc) in Quayle's precedents MM509C upto 1720 + then a continuation 1720-1785 in MM508C (both from Bridge house papers - they may be on microfilm as well)
