Malea, I think you can confidently run with this Mary from the Phurt family. If William and Margaret Joughin both refer to a son in law John Kneen, husband of their daughter Mary, that surely trumps everything else? It is most unlikely, to say the least, that there will be another Mary Joughin, a slightly younger one, marrying another John Kneen. And if you deprive Robert Cowle or Daniel Lace of his wife, you will have to find another Mary Joughin to take her place.

What is it that fixes your John Kneen’s age? A date of death certainly referable to him, coupled with an age at death, perhaps? If so, is the age a round figure, raising the suspicion of an estimate? Apologies if you have already told us this somewhere in the thread.
